This is the (mostly personal) site of K. Rowan Abrams. I figured it was about time that I had myself a site. After all, I’ve been on the internet long enough…
I started out working in public transportation; I’ve driven for paratransit and mass transit at several agencies from small to major municipal. Eventually I decided that I just wasn’t outgoing enough to be a bus driver for the rest of my life and am now well into the process of becoming an over-the-road trucker. Outside of that, however, my interests include fandom, historical reenactment, activism, fibre arts— spinning and sometimes crochet and weaving, and photography, with the occasional dabbling in music and other pastimes. I also have a pretty geeky interest in laws pertaining to driving, traffic, and vehicles.
I’m trans: specifically I consider myself nonbinary and genderqueer, although I also identify as more masculine than feminine. My preferred pronouns are they/them but I’ll use he/him as well. Although I don’t get picky about gender and presentation in meatspace much, I do on the internet— this site is my place to be myself, and that means that my pronouns here are important to me.
I am also owned by numerous cats.
If you need to contact me, you can do so from this page.
